Today Micha launched Lucee at Pixl8. It is a port of Railo 4.2 with added ORM support so will be released as Lucee 4.5.
Lucee is set up as a foundation, rather than a company. It's members are the custodians that will dicides it's future, with input from the community.
Lucee 5 is nearly ready for release. It is a new build using OSGi so JARs can be dynamically loaded. This will save memory, but more importantly, means things like datasource can be added as extentions - only add the database support you need. This will also apply to ORM.
There is also a lot of work going on with installers, including cloud deployment, and the build process has been streamlined for those who would like to download the code and have a tinker.
Congratulations to Micha and the rest of the Lucee team!
